Recently, we got to fly to Georgia with our friends. Thinking back to just 2 years ago, we were living off only the money in our pocket in Thailand, but God’s grace and mercy alone sustained us. We lived a dream life for a couple of hours. Flying back to Charleston a tune was playing behind air traffic control, “Come Away With Me” by Nora Jones.
This is above and beyond all I could ever thought I would get to experience; flying low and looking down on the scenic view along the beaches on the smooth flight.
I saw houses, rivers, cars, etc. Everything is so small. I thought about how small everything is. At the same time my pilot friend said the exact same thing, “Everything is so small!”
God spoke to me.
Things that we tend to worry about like:
-Will we be able to afford a house that we want/like?
-How much would it cost us to fix our car?
-Do we need another pair of tennis shoes?
God said, “I look from above. Everything is so small to me. I made Heaven and earth. Why don’t you just come away with me?
Seek My Kingdom.
Seek My Righteousness.”
Everything that concerns us looks so tiny to God. Why don’t we stop and pray to the one who is able to do anything beyond our dreams and imagination. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33
If this lesson cost $100 an hour. It’s totally worth every cent!
